— one in the upper portion of his chest and another in the neck— in what the police have described was an accidental firing inside his residence in Kothanur, northeast part of Bengaluru on Wednesday evening.

RP Sharma, Director General of Police, chairman and managing director of Karnataka State Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (KSPH&IDC Ltd) is the injured officer.

“Its accidental firing, he is out of danger,”

Sharma is admitted in a private hospital near Hebbal.
