BENGALURU: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his gratitude to defence minister
Rajnath Singh for approving an
Indian Air Force (IAF) air show during this year’s
Mysuru Dasara celebrations.
In a letter to Singh, Siddaramaiah extended an invitation for him to attend the event.
The chief minister noted that the air show would add grandeur to the festivities and inspire pride among the large number of visitors expected in Mysuru.
He also mentioned that Singh’s presence would motivate the people of Karnataka and strengthen their admiration for the Armed Forces.
Sharing the letter with the media, Siddaramaiah said, “It would be a great honour if you could personally grace the occasion. Your august presence will be a source of immense encouragement to the citizens of Karnataka and will further strengthen the bond of respect and admiration that we hold for our Armed Forces.”
Mysuru Dasara 2025, also known as ‘Naada Habba’, Karnataka’s state festival, will be celebrated from September 22 to October 2.
The festival will showcase the traditional Vijayadashami procession or Jamboo Savari, an elephant march (Gajapayana), extended palace illumination, and various cultural programmes.
