BENGALURU: At least 44 flights, including arrivals and departures from Bengaluru Airport were cancelled on Friday due to Karnataka bandh over the issue of releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

Among the flight cancelled at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), 22 were outgoing and 22 were incoming flights.
Some passengers who arrived at the airport were disappointed while many couldn't make it on time due to shortage of cabs and other modes of transportation.
Earlier in the morning, five Kannada activists were arrested by police when then attempted to enter the airport premises raising slogans and attempting to hoist the Karnataka flag inside the airport.
