Kannada Sahitya Sammelana: Also on the agenda

Before the valedictory function in the evening on Sunday, the Sammelana will adopt the resolutions it has taken and felicitate eminent people from various walks of life. This year, Justice B N Srikrishna, film director Girish Kasaravalli, theatre stalwarts Enagi Balappa and Prema Bhat, and singer B K Sumitra are among the list of personalities who will be honoured at the event.
Those interested can attend seminars, two each to be held at Kuvempu Kalakshetra and Mahila Samaja on K R Road, and one at the main venue.Bibliophiles can treat themselves to a sea of books and CDs that are being offered for discounts of up to 50%. Sunday being the last day, sellers are expected to be more liberal in their offers.
