Bengaluru: Thithi continued its award-winning streak by bagging yet another prestigious prize. The Kannada film, directed by Raam Reddy, won the German Star of India award at the 13th Indian Film Festival at Stuttgart, Germany, in the feature film category.
The social satire about the reaction of three generations of sons to the death of their eldest family member has already won 17 awards, mostly at international film festivals.
"This is special for me because I had exhibited my first work, short film Ika (Feather), at the same festival five years ago. We are now perhaps the most awarded Indian film this year so far internationally, and I hope these are positive steps towards securing the Indian oscar nomination for 2016," said Raam Reddy.
Ere Gowda, the co-writer of the screenplay, said, "It feels great the film is doing well at domestic and international forums. t nn
