`Mukha Puta' (cover page), a Kannada movie directed by Roopa Iyer, has won the `Best Feature Film' award at the International Film Festival of Ireland. Iyer received the award on September 12.

BANGALORE:`Mukha Puta' (cover page), a Kannada movie directed by Roopa Iyer, has won the`Best Feature Film' award at the International Film Festival of Ireland. Iyerreceived the award on September 12.Roopa said there were sevenmovies in the final round. ""People from 34 countries were jostling for theaward. Though judges didn't know the language, they could feel the emotion. Theyliked the script and the songs too," she pointed out.The movie alsowon the `Silver Sierra Best Feature Film' in California. The award will bepresented on October 23.Further, `Mukha Puta' has been nominated forInternational Film Festival, South Africa; Swansea Bay Film Festival, Wales; ElSawy International Festival, Egypt; International Film Festival,Thailand-Phuket.The movie is about a small girl suffering fromHIV/AIDS. An educated woman adopts her, and then discovers the girl is HIVpositive. The director's message: whether people live for 100 years or 100 daysdoes not matter, what matters is sharing of love. "We can't give life toHIV-positive kids but we can keep them happy by loving them as long as theylive."The movie stars Sanya Iyer, Roopa Iyer, Ananda Theertha,Sumithra, Badri Prasad and Hamsalekha. It's produced by Narayan Hosmane, SubrayHosmane and Roopa Iyer.
