BENGALURU: Sleuths from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Thursday arrested a 31-year-old Ivorian for allegedly selling narcotic substances in Bengaluru city.


According to police, Assi Aya Basile, an Ivory Coast national residing in Horamavu, was arrested after his house was raided on credible information about drug trade in his locality. Police also seized Cocaine and MDMA worth Rs 4 lakh from him.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Basile had come to India on a Business Visa but overstayed and indulged in drug peddling. Jurisdictional Hennur police have taken up a case against Basile and further probe is underway.
