bangalore: the love castles learning centre in jakkur, srujana, has gone high tech. it now has a computer centre. the machines, courtesy siemens, have got the students and teachers from schools around srujana busy clicking. the computer centre with 10 machines was recently inaugurated by information technology minister bk chandrashekar. siemens bigwigs, christoph john (director), giridhar patankar (vp), umesh chandra; n magesh, officer-schoolnet technology, deputy commissioner of education, northern region, agarwal of the rotary club, graced the colourful event.
headmasters and teachers of high and middle schools which have been benefitted by the learning centre, were present too. minister chandrashekar said he was only too happy to be away from bangalore amid the rustic atmosphere and greenery which had just got the edge of technology. "this is what our government wants to do too. taking it to the rural people and remove disparity. i must thank the love castles trust and its volunteers for this wonderful project." that was a tremendous shot in the arm for love castles trustees bhagya rangachar, jay amaran, ramaswamy iyengar and all the volunteers. schoolnet with its mobile training centre camped at srujana to train the teachers in computers and will continue to monitor the learning process every week.
