IPS officer posted to oversee traffic
Senior IPS officer K C Ramamurthy has been posted as additional commissioner (traffic and security) of Bangalore.
BANGALORE: Senior IPS officer K C Ramamurthy has been posted as additional commissioner (traffic and security) of Bangalore.
A 1982 batch officer, Ramamurthy has been given the mandate to improve the city's traffic. Earlier, he was commissioner for youth services. The incumbent additional commissioner, M N Reddi, has been posted as commissioner for youth services.
Furthermore, the government on Friday transferred 22 IPS officers.
The other officers transferred and their new postings are as follows: B G Jyothiprakash Mirji (additional commissioner, administration, Bangalore city police); T Jayaprakash (IGP, planning and modernisation, Bangalore); H N Sathyanarayana Rao (IGP, eastern range, Davanagere); Ashit Mohan Prasad (IGP, western range, Mangalore); Praveen Sood (IGP, headquarters-1, Bangalore); M F Pasha (IGP, training, Bangalore); Raghavendra H Auradkar (IGP, northern range, Belgaum); T G Doreswamy Naik (IGP, central range, Bangalore); A G Ayachit (DIGP, KSRP, Bangalore); M Abdulla Saleem (director, vigilance and security, KSRTC); K L Sudheer (DIGP, security, Bangalore); B Dayananda (SP, Kolar district); Seemant Kumar Singh (SP, Mandya); S Murugan (SP, Gulbarga); Manish Kharbikar (SP, Bijapur); Rama Subba (SP, Mysore district); B S Prakash (SP, Dharwad district); K V Sridhar (SP, KGF); G Ramesh (SP, Haveri); D Roopa (deputy commandant general, Home Guards) and N Sateesh Kumar (SP, Dakshina Kannada district).
