hubli: the meeting called by the pontiff of moorusaviramath, gangadhara rajayogindra swami, to find an amicable solution to the vexed idgah maidan issue, resolved to continue with the talks and hold one more meeting on monday. saturday's meeting was a crucial one and the pontiff was to announce a formula acceptable to one and all. speaking to times news network, hubli mla and president of anjuman-e-islam jabbar khan honnalli said: ``it has been decided to hold one more meeting on monday to ascertain the views of the representatives in the suit, which is now pending before the supreme court.'' he said that the representatives will be asked to participate and after taking their views into consideration, the pontiff will announce a "final decision" on the same day.
honnalli is of the opinion that the role taken by moorusaviramath swami is a constructive one and ``in all probability, a final settlement will be arrived at.'' it may be recalled here that the apex court had given eight weeks' time to settle the dispute in hubli itself and following this, the community leaders took the initiative. after holding a number of meetings, it was decided to form a five-member committee headed by gangadhara rajayogindra swami. the sc also granted another eight weeks' time when the first round ended without a final solution. district-in-charge minister a.m. hindasgeri, opposition leader jagadish shettar and others attended saturday's meeting.
