’s body floating in the Nethravathi river said he kept hoping that it was not the businessman’s body before he went closer to it.

near Mangaluru at around 7am on Wednesday morning, said, “I had set out on the boat to cast the fishing net in the river when I spotted a body floating. We knew that Siddhartha had gone missing and search operations were on, but I was just telling myself that it should not be him as I went nearer. I had heard how he made it big and gave jobs to thousands of people.” Ritesh said he along with fellow fishermen had searched in the river on Tuesday evening for a few hours after officials from the fisheries department sought their help.
“On seeing the body I realised it was that of Siddhartha. I slowly got it to the shore and alerted other and two police constables who were patrolling the area,” Ritesh told media.
Siddhartha’s body was found around 3-4 km away from the bridge where he is suspected to have jumped off. While the spot where he jumped is around 25 feet deep the place where his body was found floating is around 5-8 feet deep.
