BELLARY: Minister for medical education Dr. A.B. Maalaka Raddy inaugurated hi-tech equipment pertaining to super-speciality facilities installed in Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) hospital, here on Monday.
He inaugurated a C.T. scan equipment installed at the cost of Rs 1.52 crore, a colour Doppler machine costing Rs 37.24 lakh and dialysis machine installed at the cost of Rs 17 lakh.
Minister for rural development and panchayat raj M.Y. Ghorpade inaugurated a rehabilitation centre of Japanese encephalis constructed at a cost of Rs 23 lakh and the JE ward at Rs 48 lakh.
Minister of state for co-operatives M. Diwakar Babu presided over the function.
The inaugural was attended by legislator M. Shankar Reddy, ZP chairman Sanna Hanumakka, legislative council member K.C. Kondaiah, BUDA chairman Zaheer Ahmed, medical education managing director Dr.R. Seethalakshmi, deputy commissioner Jawaid Akhtar.
