Helmet advocate riding without one killed in accident

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old man working as a security officer in a private firm, who would insist everyone ride a two-wheeler only after wearing a helmet, was killed after a bike he was riding without donning the headgear hit a road median in Indiranagar on Tuesday midnight. Aditya Luke Kujur was a resident of HSR Layout and from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. According to police, Kujur had borrowed a BMW bike bearing registration number JH-05-DJ-5847 from one of his friends late Tuesday night. Around 12.30am, he was riding near Magnolia Bakery on 12th Main, 100 Feet Road, when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the median. As he was not wearing a helmet, he sustained severe head injuries. An auto driver rushed Kujur to nearby CMH Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. According to his colleagues and friends, Kujur was very particular about wearing helmet while riding. They were surprised that he was found not wearing one. tnn
