Rakhi Jain, wife of jewellery shop owner Ashish Kumar Jain, had hurled a chair at Balvan, forcing him and his associates to flee.
Investigation revealed a few years ago, Balvan was shot in the stomach by his neighbour in Haryana over property issues. “He survived the attack and returned to the Army, where he was rejected on the grounds that he wasn’t physically fit. Arguing that he should receive compensation in the form of salary till the age of retirement, Balvan is fighting a legal battle against the Army,” police said.
