Heblikar film wins award

BANGALORE: Shepherds on the move, a film directed by Suresh Heblikar and produced by Eco-watch, a centre for promotion of environment and research, has won the FAO Award, Osiris, at the 19th International Film Festival, 2002.
The festival was held at Nitra in the Slovak Republic, under the title ``Bread and Peace for People''''.
The film deals with the life of nomadic people of north Karnataka who depend on their sheep for survival.The film highlights the relationship between man, animal and nature. The point emphasised is that one can have daily bread and live in peace when one lives in tune with the laws of nature.
