BANGALORE: Heavy rain in some areas is expected in the next two days. According to director of meteorological department A Muthuchami, it's a usual phenomenon. "It's monsoon rain. Low pressure trough is formed in lower latitude than in upper latitude. This happens due to atmospheric disturbance moving westward," he said.
"There will be no wind but most parts of south India will receive heavy rain (3 cm to 4 cm) in the next 48 hours."
There could be flood in some areas too.
On Wednesday, parts of Bangalore received light drizzle in the afternoon.
