Happy Streets returns to Malleswaram

Bengaluru: The action-packed Happy Streets, an initiative of The Times of India, is set to be back in Malleswaram for the second consecutive Sunday.
The carnival will be held on Sampige Road stretch from S End Road towards 4th Cross Road from 6am to 9pm when the road will be closed for traffic. The initiative seeks to reclaim streets for pedestrians to walk, jog, cycle or just stroll around with their loved ones and rediscover the simple pleasures of playing a game.
From pottery to meditation, tattoo zone to Zumba, an entire sequence of activities — sometimes running simultaneously — will be held for three hours. Those visiting can try cycling, skating, martial arts, karate, cricket, badminton, volleyball, basketball, archery dart games, traditional games and even a miniature version of golf.
Families can enjoy a Kathak performance by students of Mansa Joshi’s Dance Academy. A pet fashion show is also set to be organised on the main stage.
Happy Streets is supported by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and Bengaluru traffic police. The event is presented by Bhima Jewellers. The associate sponsors are Sparsh Hospitals and Mantri Square Mall. The sports partner is Decathlon, Zumba partner The Swingers Dance Inc, games partner Force Fudge, yoga partner Being Yogic, and creative arts partner Make My Garden.
