BANGALORE: It’s a strict ultimatum to all 60 feet x 40 feet house owners in the city: May 28, 2010, will be the last day to set up the rain water-harvesting system in your compound. Failing which it might lead to a penalty or disconnection of water and sanitary lines.
The nine-month time given for the same ends on May 27. Approximately one lakh buildings fall under this category.
Considering the huge task ahead, the BWSSB has also announced special incentives for the plumbers. Between January 1 and March 31 whoever helps setting up RWH for 100 houses, will get Rs 10,000. Till date 400 plumbers have been trained and the details can be had from
