G-category sites issue: Committee’s term extended by 9 months

BENGALURU: A Karnataka high court division bench headed by chief justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee on Friday passed an order extending by nine months the term of the committee which is looking into allotment of sites by the Bangalore Development Authority under G category.

The bench passed this order pursuant to an application submitted on behalf of the committee stating that the term of the committee expired on August 3.

It may be recalled that a three-member committee was constituted in terms of the August 25, 2012 order in relation to a PIL challenging the grant of sites under G categro by both H D Kumaraswamy and B S Yeddyurappa regimes.
