BANGLORE: Around 15 Iraqi children from economically weaker sections are undergoing free treatment at Narayana Hrudyalaya.
Surgeries for two children have been completed and the remaining will be conducted in August. The first free heart operation was performed by
Dr Devi Shetty on eight-year-old Ameer Luai'a, from Karbala, Iraq, in May 2011.
the children were brought to Narayana Hrudyalaya following a lack of advanced medical facilities in Iraq, said a press release from the hospital.
