BANGALORE: An early morning trip to the market to buy flowers turned fatal for vendor Shakunthala, 48, from Suddaguntepalya. She died on the spot when a BMTC bus crashed into her autorickshaw.
Around 6.45 am, Shakunthala was coming back from K R Market with husband Durgamurthy and daughter Meenakshi, 26 in an autorickshaw. Near Dairy Circle, a BMTC bus coming from Madivala checkpost towards Nimhans slammed into the auto.

Durgamurthy and Meenakshi suffered minor injuries. The auto driver is absconding.
In another accident, a unidentified man died on the spot after a medical college bus knocked him down in Central police station limits on Friday night. The police said he was walking on MV Road when the accident occurred around 9 pm. The driver has been arrested.toiblr.reporter@timesgroup.com
