Five held for looting ATMs

BANGALORE: Five persons were arrested in Tumkur on Saturday and Rs 5.5 lakh seized in connection with last month's ATM thefts in Bangalore. Bhuvanesh (22), P Naveen Kumar (22), Gangadhar (21), Sreenath (22) and Nanjanayak (24), all from Tumkur, were working in Bangalore.
One day when Bhuvanesh went to the State Bank of Mysore ATM in Mahalakshmi Layout, he found he could withdraw money even though he had none in his account.An excited Bhuvanesh quickly informed his friends and within three days, the five robbed Rs 5.5 lakh from SBI ATMs in Mahalakshmi Layout and Chandra Layout.
