Bengaluru: Fans gathered at Puneeth Rajkumar's samadhi at Dr Rajkumar Memorial in northwest Bengaluru Monday to celebrate what would have been their beloved actor's 50th birthday.

The late Kannada superstar, affectionately known as Appu, continues to command love and respect, with admirers pouring in from across Karnataka to pay tribute. Leading the heartfelt remembrances were Puneeth's wife Ashwini and elder brother, veteran actor Shivarajkumar. He took to social media to share an emotional note about his brother, reminiscing about their bond over the years. He wrote, "It is rare for a person's essence to remain unchanged through the years. Your smile when I hugged you as a child still stays with me. Today, the world celebrates your 50th birthday, but for me, the joy remains as fresh as my very first birthday.
