bellary: to seek justice, the association of consulting civil engineers (acce) has drawn up a line of agitation, as there is no other alternative to fight injustice ladled out to poor and oppressed. association president mahesh r. agiwal told the reporters on friday the people were "fed up with the policies adopted by the government agencies such as bellary urban development authority, municipality and other departments which were drawing a line between the poor and the rich by adopting different yardsticks.
"it is a fight between the law-abiders and the law-breakers and our association has decided to end the inequality," mahesh said. in bellary a lawbreaker is safer and he is able to construct his structures without any permission or clearances from the departments concerned. only the law-abider is facing a lot of inconvenience from the departments because of sincerity and law awareness. "this disparity must go," he added. he is unable to get his clearances from the agencies despite his prompt payment of necessary fee and deprived the basic facilities said agiwal. agiwal and k.b. sanjeeva prasad, secretary of the association said the acce has resolved address some of the important problems concerning the civil engineering and construction field. he added "the acce would agitate whenever and wherever necessary for a common cause and natural justice." the association will first lay focus on problems like unaffordable and exorbitant fee, deposit, cess charged by the buda and city municipal council (cmc) affecting the middle-class and salaried people while those with money, muscle and political power are resorting to unauthorised constructions and evading fees.
