DySP caught for 'indecent act' in office toilet with woman, arrested

NEW DELHI: B Ramachandrappa, a DySP at Madhugiri in Tumakuru, was suspended and arrested Friday after a video surfaced purportedly showing him indulging in "improper conduct" with a woman in his office washroom.

Ramachandrappa was posted in Koratagere area, the assembly constituency of home minister, Congress's G Parameshwara.

The 35-second video, showing Ramachandrappa inside the bathroom with the woman, went viral late Thursday. Investigation revealed that the woman had come to Madhugiri police station Thursday with a few others to lodge a complaint. Ramachandrappa befriended her and took her aside, sources said.

"After a while, they both entered the bathroom and indulged in an obscene act. Someone had placed their mobile on the bathroom window. However, the recording stopped after 35 seconds as the woman discovered the phone and hid behind Ramachandrappa," a source said.

Tumakuru SP Ashok KV vowed action. "A report was submitted to the IG. He sent it to DG-IGP Alok Mohan, who suspended Ramachandrappa," a source said.

Ramachandrappa was arrested based on the woman's complaint.
