Bengaluru: Two offbeat Kannada movies — Dollu and Taledanda — have bagged the honours at the 68th National Film Awards.
While Dollu, the debut production of Wadeeyar movies and directed by Sagar Puranik, was adjudged the best Kannada film, Taledanda by Krupanidhi Creations and directed by Praveen Krupakar, won the award for best film on environment.
Naadada Navaneeta Dr PT Venkateshkumar, directed by Girish Kasaravalli, won the award for best film on arts and culture. Jeetige, directed by Santhosh Mada, bagged the best Tulu film award.
The sound recording in Dollu by Jobin Jayan also bagged the Rajat Kamal for best audiography.
