Deshna M Vanshika clinches U-17 crown

BENGALURU: Deshna M Vanshika won the U-17 girls singles crown at the State ranking table tennis tournament hosted by Malleswaram Association here on Monday.
Deshna, who trains at BNM, endured a fightback from Sahana H Murthy to prevail 11-7, 11-4, 11-3, 6-11, 6-11, 6-11, 12-10 in the final.
The boys U-15 title went to Tavanth Nerlaje (Skies) while Parnavi (WCTTC) emerged champion among girls in the same age category.Tavanth rallied well to oust Teshub Dinesh 5-11, 11-13, 11-8, 11-6, 11-3, 14-12 and Parnavi got the better of Himanshi Chowdhary 13-11, 3-11, 11-13, 11-9, 11-9, 11-3.
