BANGALORE: Taking a dig at chief minister
B S Yeddyurappa, external affairs minister
S M Krishna on Sunday said he had neither bypassed rules nor favoured his relatives while denotifying government land.
He told reporters here on Sunday that he had already written to the chief minister, explaining the extent of land denotified and the purpose of his doing so. "I have not breached rules.
If denotifications were done violating rules to benefit one's children and relatives, then it needs to be discussed threadbare. All the denotifications during my tenure were legal. All the documents are with the government. Let him (CM) verify,'' Krishna said.
He said he had already written to the CM, explaining the extent of lands denotified and the purpose of doing so.
Referring to Yeddyurappa's threat that he was preparing a booklet on denotification of land done by previous CMs, he said: "Mere documentation won't help. Some MPs may not even read it.''
