Damaged stretches of Bannerghatta Rd to be repaired
Bengaluru: Bannerghatta Main Road has finally caught the authorities' attention, with Bengaluru South City Corporation and Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (B-Smile) conducting an inspection Wednesday.TOI recently highlighted the plight of commuters on the arterial stretch which was filled with dust, apart from posing safety hazards.BSCC commissioner KN Ramesh and B-Smile technical director BS Prahlad inspected the road where Namma Metro's Pink Line is scheduled for inauguration. Officials said a detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared for developing the stretch from Hosur Road to Koli Farm Junction.Ramesh directed immediate resurfacing of damaged stretches as the tendering process is likely to take time. He suggested making Vega City Mall junction signal-free by constructing an underpass and flyover.
