<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MYSORE: Three Mysore Congress corporators on Monday came out with fresh set of allegations against Mysore Urban Development Authority, pointing out that officials are misusing their powers in changing records and causing financial losses to the authority.<br />In a detailed press statement, corporators MC Chikkanna, AM Jayasheela and R Nagaraju have quoted a sample of incidents where officials have failed to collect 25 per cent of the value of MUDA allotted sites from the people who purchased these sites on outright sale basis before the expiry of lease period.<br /><br />They quoted an incident of a site, sold by a beneficiary of the site allotted by Mahadeshwara Graha Nirmana Sangha.

Acoording to them, the person has sold the site for Rs 2.2 lakh without collecting Rs 55,000 from the new purchaser, which is mandatory on the part of the latter when he or she purchases such sites.<br /><br />MUDA officials have collected only Rs 750 from the new purchaser before effecting on the transfer of records to purchasers'' name, they pointed out, adding that such incidents are in vogue in MUDA.<br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><br /><br />Quoting one more such incident, they said in another incident wherein the site has been sold by an allotee for Rs 1.4 lakh but MUDA officials have collected only Rs 350 against Rs 35,000.<br /><br />The corporators said the government should order a thorough inquiry into the misdeeds of these officials who have helped the site purchasers causing loss to MUDA worth lakhs of rupees.<br /><br />They said the officials, meanwhile to escape the dragnet of law, have issued notices to the purchasers, instead of holding back the transfer of records. They claimed to have sent a letter to the chief minister seeking a detailed inquiry into the mess.<br /><br /><formid=367815> </formid=367815></div> </div>
