Cong seeks stay on officer's transfer

Bangalore: The Congress has sought a stay on the transfer of Karwar assistant commissioner Vijay Mahantesh. KPCC president R V Deshpande on Saturday said the BJP government transferred Mahantesh because he took action against BJP minister Anand V Asnotikar.
Deshpande has also submitted a memorandum to Karnataka chief electoral officer M N Vidyashankar to initiate the stay order.A complaint was filed against Asnotikar for not revealing his property details during the assembly polls in May this year.
