RAICHUR: This is the worst coalition in power and former Prime Minister Deve Gowda is playing inductive politics in an unholy partnership with BJP, said the the KPCC president Mallikarjuna Kharge, after inaugurating the Jana Jagruti Samavesh on Sunday organised by the District Congress Committee. The real face of the coalition will come out in the open with the Chamundeshwari bypoll results and the JD(S) will repent for uniting with the BJP, added Kharge.
Pointing out at Gowda's political attitude to the former chief minister Dharam Singh's government, Kharge said "Now that his (Gowda's) son HDK Kumaraswamy is in power he is not questioning Bangalore Mysore Corridor Project and Metro rail project which were causing hurdles for other development work in the state." The opposition leader in assembly Dharam Singh too added to Kharge's notes. "All the BJP MLAs in Deve Gowda's group are power-hungry and the government can not sustain with such immoral people,"he said.
The former minister Kagodu Timmappa present in the meet called the district Congress party president Vasath Kumar for stregthening the party and helping in the uplift of the poor people. He criticised the present coalition government too. A Vasanth Kumar was formally declared the president of the DCC. The programme started with the Naada Geete and welcome speech of K Shantappa. The key note address was delivered by the Manvi taluk MLA N S Bhosraj. The former MLA of Raichur Syed Yasin was also present. The Congress leaders Kondayya of Bellary, Raja Amaresh Naik, Raja Rangappa Naik, A Venkatesh Naik,A Vasanth KUmar, Badarli Hampanagouda, Parasmal Sukhani, Gangadhar Naik were also present at the meeting.
