BANGALORE: Chief Justice J S Khehar conducted a surpise check in the high court on Monday afternoon, the first day of two-week-long winter vacation break. The chief justice who arrived at about 1.15 pm inspected the writ, pending and criminal petitions branches of the high court acccompanied by Registrar (Judicial) and Registrar (Vigilance).
The officials, who were surprised to see the chief justice on a vacation day, were seen hurriedly moving here and there holding attendance registers and files.
The chief justice gave them suggestions on updating records and files before leaving after nearly an hour-long visit.
