City inspectors drafted into STF

BANGALORE: All police officials who worked for the STF''s nab-Veerappan operation earlier, are being drafted in the task force again. This is being done based on a directive from Home Minister Mallikarjun Kharge.
On Tuesday, Chikpet Inspector Ashok Kumar, Tilaknagar''s Umesh and Malleswaram Inspector Pradeep Kumar were asked to go to the STF camp in M.M.Hills.
``There are a few more officers such as ACP G.A. Bawa who are good at collecting intelligence from forest tribals. Kharge wants them back in STF. They will be posted there soon,'''' an IGP-rank officer told reporter.
Joint Commissioner Jyothi Prakash B. Mirjee and Inspector Gachchinakatti have already been sent to STF; several officers from CoD are also going there, he added.
