BENGALURU: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will file two more chargesheeets against the founders of Dreamz Infra GK Pvt Ltd for alleged involvement in
Last week, the agency filed a
Dreamz Infra GK Pvt Ltd. The chargesheet, running into 16,000-plus pages, names Sachin Naik and 10 other associates, including Naik’s former wife Disha Choudhary and present wife Mandeep Kaur, financiers Venkatesh, Sanjay, Jayashankar and four managing directors of various companies he had set up.
Considering the magnitude of the case, CID sleuths had formed three special teams and set up a special cell at their headquarters on Palace Road to receive complaints and information about the accused. The accused allegedly duped over 10,000 people of at least Rs 700 crore.
“Some 125 cases were registered against the three real estate agencies, owned by Naik. While 60 cases were filed against Dreamz, 45 were registered against TGS and 20 against Gruha Kalyan,” agency sources added. In all the cases, CID has identified Sachin Naik as the common accused.
Sachin Naik and Disha Choudhary are absconding. “We arrested them in 2017 and a couple of weeks later, they walked out on bail. Since then, they have remained elusive and the court now has issued nonbailable warrants against them,” CID sources said.
Sachin Naik’s crime trail goes back to 2009. “Calling himself Sumanth Kumar, Sachin floated real estate firm, Frontier Group, against which a cheating case was registered at Commercial Street police station in 2009, ” sources said.
Later, Naik floated three more companies and duped victims. “Dreamz was floated in 2011. In 2013, he launched TGS and Gruha Kalyan in 2015,” they added.
