BANGALORE: The Charkha awards for Excellence in Development Journalism (in Kannada) were on Friday presented to two freelance writers.
Renuka Manjunath, a native of Tumkur and settled in the city contributes to leading Kannada dailies and is part of women's organisations.
The award has also been given to freelance development writer Poornapragna Belur of Sagar taluk in Shimoga for his interest mainly in agriculture issue.
