Cash thieves still at large with Rs 90 lakh
BENGALURU: Two employees of a cash logistics firm CMS, who fled with Rs 90 lakh cash on Tuesday, are still at large.
Jnanabharathi police, who registered a case of servant theft, said they’re unable to trace the suspects and have no clue of their whereabouts. The accused are neither using mobile phones nor contacting their families.
Syndicate Bank clarifies

With Banks being forced to do more than banking and under instructions from Finance Ministry many jobs are outsourced, such as cash collection and remittance. Collecting cash from doorsteps of customers at all odd times. With advent of outsourcing, the private players start employing all sorts of people including riff raffs. Police verification is cursory and not upto mark.. No record is maintained and these outsourced people, again outsourced to their friends and hangers on and casual friends and acquitances. So neither the Banks themselves and security agencies are serious about the issue. Look during demonitisation last year, lots of vans were roaming round the country at all times, the men in that parked their vehicle anywhers for a break, eating or going to toilet, etc. In the bargain, some vans with cash in them just disappeared and till now there has been no trace of the money siphoned off or the criminals. Well the banks say cash is insured, insurance co is mum and govt is silent. Finance ministry is in OSTRICH LIKE silence. Banks have to knowledge how to stop this crime and they are advised by non professionals. Most vans have no GPS and who monitors them or these are also outsourced. Personnel in these vans take a break at their convenience and most of the men in that are not at all aware of the consequences of cash loss or robbery and we have not come across anyone being caught , in jail serving time. Banks have no proper consultants. No cash van has alarm to at least set it off by remote to set it off when the person outside the van notices the van is missing. No cctv in van or outside it to monitor the people, which can be periodically viewed by Bank or the outsourced agency office. No body cameras for the personnel or security. On the whole nobody is responsible and NO WONDER SYNDICATE BANK IS TRYING TO COVER UP BY LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH. Anyway it depositors money so who cares, least of all the Syndicate Bank. This news is buried in page 3 and Bank and agency will rely on public memory which is short. Depositers do not what to do, Govt and cops will just remain silent Recently Govt of India has pumped in few thousand crores to bolster Banks with public money and this is one BIG WRITE OFF.
