Carpool with strangers in Bengaluru and earn money

BENGALURU: A unique kind of car pool which allows people in cars and on bikes to give lifts to strangers is making headway in Bengaluru.An app by start-up 'Wheel our World' connects passengers and vehicle owners after both parties enter the details of their destinations and routes.The cost of the service, available between 7am and 7pm every day, is fixed at Rs 2 per km on a bike, and Rs 4 per km in a car."The travel charge is payable only through Paytm. The company does not charge for its service. Our aim is to reduce traffic in our city," said founder Vaijayanti Mala.To ensure the safety of all involved, the service only allows people of the same sex to travel together.The app, available on Google Playstore, was introduced at the Tech Fest at Bengaluru Palace.Read this story in Kannada
