Cabinet condemns Pahalgam terror attack
Chamarajanagar: The state cabinet on Thursday passed a resolution, condemning the terror attack during its meeting in Chamarajanagar.Commenting on the Pahalgam bloodshed, deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar said: "We stand by the govt because the nation's integrity is very important. Some of them are trying to politicise...We should all maintain peace and no one should politicise the issue," he added.Meanwhile, the Karnataka BJP lashed out at AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge for not identifying the Pahalgam victims as Hindus. After paying final tributes to Bharat Bhushan, one of the victims, BJP state president BY Vijayendra said, "Leaving politics aside, every citizen of Bharat must come together and stand united at this moment."BYV criticises Kharge's postCriticising Kharge, Vijayendra said, "If you look at Kharge's post on X, he states that terrorists attacked Indian tourists. It didn't occur to him to mention that the victims were Hindus." "This is the tragedy of the country. At least now, they must wake up," he added.In response, home minister G Parameshwara strongly urged against politicising the issue. "There is nothing more disgraceful than turning such a grave national tragedy into a political agenda," he said.
