BANGALORE: During a raid on the house of Rajarajeshwarinagar MLA Srinivas' son Venkatesh Babu, Lokayukta sleuths seized 2 kg of gold jewellery, a diamond, 10 kg of silver, records of ownership of 16.19 acres of land in Kaggalipura and other places, documents pertaining to four industrial sheds, three cars (Toyota Corolla, Toyota Innova and Maruti Swift), besides gold and silver articles.
When police swooped down on Srinivas' associate Rajanna of Kumaraswamy Layout, they found three trunks of documents of properties belonging to the MLA. The sleuths' attempt to reach another associate, Rashmi D'Souza, near PESIT in Dwarakanagar in Hosakerehalli yielded no result as the house was locked.
At the house of another associate, Nagaraja, of Kadirenahalli village, sleuths stumbled on several documents including ownership of several properties. The raids were also conducted at industrial sheds owned by the MLA at Konanakunte Cross and at the office of his son Venkatesh Babu near Uttarahalli bus stop.
The raids were conducted after the Lokayukta special court order on April 5 following a private complaint filed by Dinesh Kallahalli from Kanakapura taluk before the court against the BJP legislator alleging he had amassed wealth disproportionate to known sources of income.
