BFC, Kemp crowned A & B division champions
Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC girls team scored a thumping 7-0 win over Young Stars FC to be crowned champions of the KSFA A division league here on Saturday. Sila (4, 45), Ruthu Srenandan (14, 24), Prakalya (35), Tanvi Nair (36), and Chinmayi (51) found the back of the net in the big victory. It was BFC’s fifth straight win. The team will now be promoted to the Women’s Super Division league.Meanwhile, in B division, Kemp Junior defeated OTB FC 4-0 to bag the title. Anshika J, Anwita Raghuraman, Anaya Susan Thomas and Advika Kanojia scored for Kemp Junior, who have been promoted to Group A.Results: A division: BFC 7 (Sila Adarsh 4, 45, Ruthu Sreenandan 14, 24, Prakalya 35+2, Tanvi Nair 36, Chinmayi 51) bt Young Stars FC 0. DPS took the lead with Elder scoring in the third minute. But Young Star bounced back with Ankit playing a key role with his twin goals in the 12th and 44th minute to claim the title.
