BENGALURU: A missing 24-year-old Royal Field showroom mechanic, who went missing on September 16, was allegedly murdered over his affair with a married woman.

Mico Layout police said the body of mechanic Ajaya S, a resident of Kalkere on Bannerghatta Road, was on Monday exhumed from the forest near Nittur, Gubbi taluk,

Anand, a welder and husband of the woman with whom Ajaya had an affair, is missing. He and his brother Kumara hired four others to murder Ajaya, who declined to end his affair with the woman, who too is missing.
Kumar, Chethan, Munikrishna, Muttu and Sanjay alias Sanju, all aged between 20- 24 years and residents of CK Palya on Bannerghatta Road, have been arrested.
Ajaya didn't return home from work on September 16 and his father later lodged a missing person complaint.
The accused called Ajaya over phone and asked him to meet them on Bannerghatta Main Road on the evening of September 16. He rushed to the spot only to be abducted in a car. The gang assaulted him in the moving car on Bannerghatta Road and
Kanakapura
Road. They strangled him to death and took his body to the forests near Nittur and buried it the same night," an investigating officer said.
"We learnt that the woman had called Ajaya over phone on her husband's direction on the day he was kidnapped and murdered. We need to question her to know her role in the case," the officer said.
