BENGALURU: A rowdy-sheeter allegedly stabbed his 24-year-old wife in the nose with a screwdriver after she raised a complaint with the women’s helpline of
Bengaluru police
saying he forcefully made their three-year-old daughter drink alcohol.

, an accused in a murder case, making the child drink alcohol has gone viral. Police are yet to arrest the accused.
According to police sources, the woman fell in love with Kumaresh and married him against her elders’ wishes four years ago. She wasn’t aware that her husband was a rowdy-sheeter.
"When the woman was four months pregnant, she came to know the truth when police arrested Kumaresh in a murder case. The woman returned to her parents. After giving birth to a girl, she began working as a domestic help. Out on bail, Kumaresh asked the woman to hand over his daughter to him, but she refused. In January, he came to her residence, assaulted her and took the child away," the sources said.
When the woman was searching for her daughter, Kumaresh sent to her a video showing his daughter drinking whisky with him. The woman rushed to Parihar family counselling centre in the police commissioner’s office. The counsellors sought police help and tracked the child to Kumaresh’s sister’s house, but he had fled the place.
The woman shifted to Byadarahalli, Magadi Road with her daughter. A few days ago, Kumaresh barged into her house and assaulted her with a screwdriver.
Bindya Yohannan, a counsellor at the centre, said the woman has fled the city, fearing her husband.
The viral video shows Kumaresh cajoling his daughter into drinking whisky, promising to take her out on a bike ride.
