Bengaluru: Class 10 boy gets classmate attacked with knife, booked

on Tuesday registered a case against a class 10 student and two of his friends for attacking the former’s classmate over a trivial issue. The minors have been handed over to officials from a juvenile home. The injured boy was treated at a hospital and is fine.

Police said the accused minor had fought with the victim in Goa last week, where they had gone on an excursion.

“At a Goa beach, the accused fell down when a wave hit him and everyone around laughed. He got upset when the victim said he enjoyed his fall more than others. Meanwhile, some girls teased the accused on Monday about the incident. The accused minor then decided to beat up his classmate,” police said.

Accordingly, the accused student and two of his associates took the victim outside school during lunch hour. “The associates attacked the boy with a knife, injuring his leg and fled,” police said. The two minors are at the juvenile home.
