BCC wants CA sites back

BANGALORE: The BCC will write to the government urging it to hand over the Civic Amenity (CA) sites presently under the BDA’s purview.
At the BCC budget meeting on Monday, Mayor C.M. Nagaraj said Commissioner M.R. Sreenivasa Murthy will write to the government to hand over the CA sites which fall within BCC limits. JD (S) corporators M. Shivaraj and Venkatesh said that the CA sites were being encroached and fenced by land-grabbers.
Jalahalli corporator B.R.Nanjundappa stressed the need for renumbering of BCC properties without which lakhs of unassessed properties will escape from the tax net.
