BBMP claims 5 of 8 civic zones are pothole-free

“We’ve filled all potholes and will complete work before we update the court on Friday,” said a BBMP official. The high court had pulled up the agency for failing to make the city roads motorable. Following this, BBMP the undertook a massive pothole-filling drive. As per the civic body, there were over 25,000 potholes before the court intervened.
The BBMP’s exercise came under the scanner after the court-appointed committee submitted a preliminary report stating pothole-filling was not being done scientifically. The officials had claimed that several roads came under the defect liability period and the onus was on contractors to maintain them. Of the 1,900km of arterial and sub-arterial roads, 425km were under DLP.

There are so many potholes which are yet to be filled in bommanahalli zone, commuters struggle every day. Without taking a proper official survey BBMP make a conclusion too early.Read allPost comment
