The band, with nine studio albums including the highly successful Master of Puppets, rose to international stardom.
Ahead of its first live appearance in India, Metallica declared: “We’re so excited to be playing a show in a place we never thought in our wildest dreams we’d get to play. It’s an honour for all of us that we get to be a part of that whole music scene as a metal band sharing our music with fans in India at this incredible concert” !
Popular Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro will open for Metallica. The band comprises Simon Neil (guitar, lead vocals ), James Johnston (bass, vocals) and Ben Johnston (drums, vocals). The band expanded its fan base significantly with its fourth album, Puzzle, in 2007 creating more mainstream songs with simpler rhythms. Clyro’s popularity was built further in 2008 and 2009 with the release of the singles Mountains and That Golden Rule, which both reached the top 10 of the UK singles chart.
Their latest album, Only Revolutions, reached No. 3 in the UK charts and went gold within days of its release in 2009, later going platinum in 2010. The band cites influences ranging from heavy metal luminaries like Metallica.
