BAC retain overall championship
Bengaluru: Hosts Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre (BAC) emerged overall champions at the state sub-junior and junior swimming championships that concluded here on Thursday. Dolphin Aquatics finished runners-up. The in-form Samarth Gowda from BAC signed off with the the 100-metre butterfly and 200-metre backstroke gold medals. He also comfortably won the individual championship in boys Group II-A.In the corresponding category for girls, Naisha capped her fine run in the competition with two gold medals (400 metres freestyle and 200m backstroke. In the same category, Tisya Sonar too returned a grand double, winning the 200 breaststroke and 100 metres butterfly events.In Group I-A, MSC's Chinthan Shetty was in top form as he shared the individual championship with S Dharshan.
