AP team to visit state for water

kurnool: faced with an unprecedented water crisis in the kurnool town, the members of the district development review committee (ddrc) have decided to visit the neighbouring karnataka to convince the government to release 2 tmcft of water from bhadra dam besides taking steps to check tapping of water all along the course of the river. participating in the ddrc meeting here on tuesday, the mlas, mps as well as the ministers from the district expressed serious doubts over karnataka government''s commitment to implement the assurance given by chief minister s.m.krishna. raising the issue, adoni mla k. meenakshi naidu affirmed that the district would not get a single drop of water from the neighbouring state. claiming that he was aware of the attitude of the karnataka government, he said that the government may release the water in the name of kurnool, but it will not cross the border of the neighbouring state.
