AIMIM announces three candidates for Karnataka assembly elections, more to come

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday announced the first list of three candidates for the assembly elections in Karnataka. Of the three, one is a Hindu and other two are Muslims.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday announced the first list of three candidates for the assembly elections in Karnataka. Of the three, one is a Hindu and other two are Muslims.
AIMIM said it will announce more candidates soon as it plans to contest more seats. As per the first AIMIM list, Lateefkhan Amirkhan Pathan will contest from Belagavi North, Durgappa Kashappa Bijawad from Hubballi-Dharwad East and Allabaksh Mehboob Sab Bijapur from Basavana Bagewadi assembly seat.

Owaisi had earlier declared his intent to contest assembly elections in Karnataka and Rajasthan at the party’s formation day anniversary. He had asked his cadre to gear up for elections in the two states and would address a series of public meetings in the two states. The assembly elections in Karnataka are likely to be held in April or May.
